Dear Fellow Crafters,

I don’t know about you but I have always wanted to do a December Daily Journal. They always looks so cute when finished and I do love my memory  keeping.

BUT

I do not want to wait until December.

SO

I decided to start now for the month of October. I have always loved October for so many reasons and I love to do memory keeping, so if the shoe fits lol. I have always recorded all my family’s Halloween memories, But this year I want to record ALL my memories from October.

I have not found an outline online that will fit my style of journaling. The style of totally forgetting to journal some days and wanting to journal like a mad woman on other days. So I have decided to start my own October Daily.

I want to mix all my favorite things together.

  • Creative Journaling / Scrapbooking
  • Listers got to List
  • Gratitude
  • Prompts
  • To Do Lists
  • Photography
  • Cooking

I will attempt to incorporate all these things into one fun journal. My train of thought is to make “weekly fun” lists. I do not want to feel like I HAVE to do anything, instead I want options of things that might be fun that week.  My goal will be to do whatever makes me happy. I think I will give 10 options of different things to do each week. That way I will have chooses but not feel overwhelmed with ideas.

Feel free to use my prompts if you need some inspiration for your own October Daily. I hope you will have lots of fun this October and hopefully lots of crafting aswell.

Peace,

Crochet

Something Every New Crocheter Should Know!

👋🏼Dear fellow Crafters,

Maybe what I’m about to say is common knowledge or even common sense, but I feel a need to share it never the less. I wish I had known this in the beginning of my crocheting journey, it would have saved me many headaches and money lol.

So here it goes……….There are different styles of crochet hooks! And yes they feel different when using them.

I know I know a lot of you are going to say “duh, there are different styles!” But I was very unaware of this for some time.

So for those of you who did not know this, here you go. There are two styles:

+Tapered Hook

The Tapered Hook is the most common style of hook in my opinion. The most popular and readily available brand is Boye.

+Inline Hook

The Inline Hook is also popular but I feel it’s harder to find, especially in stores. The most popular brand is Susan Bates.

So now that you know, I recommend that before you buy a whole set of hook sizes you try out one of both hook styles and see which you like best. Then you can invest and get all the many different hook sizes.

The reason I felt a real need to share this is I spent a lot of money getting hooks for all the different projects I wanted to try then realized that I loved the other hook style! So I feel by posting this I’ve done my little part in saving a fellow crafter a headache or two, that is if someone actually reads this lol.

Well anywho, I hoped this helped.

✌🏼Peace,

Llama
